Ingredients100gm basmati rice
150gm tuur dal
salt to taste
a pinch of turmeric powder
2-3 dried red chillies
2-4 cloves
2 green chillies
1/2tsp mustard seeds(rye)
1-1 1/2 glass water
2tblsp oil
2-5 curry leaves
1-2inch of cinnamon
Instructionssoak rice for 5 min and dal for 10 min.in a deep pan(kadai) add oil and mustard seeds till they splutter,then add red chilly and green chilly,cinnamon,cloves,curry leaves.then add tuur dal,then add water,turmeric powder.when the dal is half done add little water,rice and salt to taste.then cover with lid.let boil till rice is totally cooked.
your tuur dal khichadi is ready!!
to add taste to this add ghee!
