Ingredients10 drumsticks(should be very fresh)
salt to taste
3 tbsp oil
1cup curryleaves
1 big onion(chopped)
4green chillies(cut lengthwise)
5 garlic pods(grated)
1cup channa daal or moongdaal(soaked)
˝cup coriander leaves
1cup fresh coconut(grated)
Red dry chilli
Cummin seeds
InstructionsSoak dal for ˝hour.drain&grind to paste along with litle salt&garlic.
Add coconut( grated)and grind coarsely.
The dough should be stiff like chapathi dough.
Chop drumsticks to 3 cm bits&boil tthem in little added salt water.
Let them cook till they get soft(should not split)
Drain it&keep a side.
Heat oil in a nonstick sauce pan(preferably)&fry slightly the dal mixture on low flame.
Dal mixture should get fine flavour.
Keep the lid&check every minute without getting burnt.
On another stove tempering with given ingredients&add drumsticks to it.
Simmer&fry on a low heat till they
Put off the flame&add them to the
fried(ready)mixture&fry for 2 more miutes.
Remove from the stove&serve hot with plain rice.
Note;It prepares in andhrapradesh
in special occasions&parties.
Variation:-Can be prepared with gramflour instead of using soaked channadal
