1 tablespoon corn oil( or veg)
1 cinnamon stick
4 green cardamons
3 tablespoons natural yogurt
3 tablespoons tomato puree
3 teaspoons garam masala
1-2 teaspoons chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice(fresh)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
2 green chillies chopped(leave seeds in)
200ml single cream
3-4 chicken breasts
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon chillie powder
juice of half a lemon
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
2 tablespoons natural yogurt
2-3 drops red food colouring
in a bowl mix all ingrediants for chicken tikka except the chicken.
cut up chicken into 1 inch cubes.
add to mixture and leave in fridge for 2-3 hours.
to cook chicken place chicken on wire rack and cook under a hot grill or in oven until chicken is cooked(about ten minutes)
turn chicken at least once during cooking.
heat butter+oil in med/large sucepan,when melted add cinnamon + cardamons and fry for 30 seconds.
remove pan from heat.
mix together yogurt,tomato puree,garam masala,chilli powder,turmeric,ground coriander,salt,lemon juice + water in a bowl.
return pan to heat,pour in mixture and fry over med to low heat for about 10 mins stirring occasionally.
add cooked chicken tikka and simmer for 5 mins
add cream,fresh coriander + chopped chillies.
simmer for 5 more mins until sauce has thickened a bit.
serve at once with rice.
