|Ingredients||buttermilk 4 cups
raw rice 2tsps
hing a small piece
tumeric 1/2 tsp
ghee 1 tsp
oil 1 tsp
urad dal 1/2 tsp
dried chillies 2-3
mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
|Instructions||Fry the tuvardal, rice and hing in little oil and grind fine in the mixie and mix with the buttermilk. Add half tsp of turmeric powder and required amount of salt to the mixture.
Take a pan with a tsp of ghee and a tsp of oil and when it is hot season with half tsp of mustard seeds, and half tsp of urad dal. Add 2 or 3 dried chillies , and few curry leaves and pour this to the buttermilk mixture. Leave this on the stove just for 2 minutes. Tasty buttermilk curry is ready!
|Notes||If buttermilk is not available, this curry could
be prepared by diluting the yoghurt. This dish
has high energy value. Some vegetables also can
be added which is optional.
